A collection of tracks recorded in our studio in Cologne.

Opole is an electronic band based in Cologne, Germany, consisting of Frank Schöpgens (guitar and effects pedals) and Jez Nicholl (drum machines, samplers and synthesisers). Their inspiration is wide, reflecting their varied lives. Frank was born in Germany and spent time living in Barcelona and Paris. Jez is from the UK and moved to Cologne in 2011. They both listened to guitar-based indie music in their teens, and shortly afterwards discovered electronic music in the clubs of Europe. Their ears and minds have always been open to new experiences, which can clearly be heard in their music today. Harmonic drones, shimmering synthesisers and melodic guitars complement each other to create warm, dark soundscapes with complex textures. The result is just as relaxing as it is danceable.
